He plays rhythm guitar with the 70s-style rock band, The UnHeard, and is also a songwriter and singer. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of New Brunswick. In May 2017, Bruce suffered a series of rare strokes that left him paralyzed from the neck down. After a miraculous recovery, Bruce now serves as the Patient Experience Advisor of Therapeutic Services at Horizon Health, where he shares his experience and provides encouragement to stroke patients and their families. He also volunteers on various committees providing perspective on patient care. Bruce currently resides in Fredericton, New Brunswick, with his wife, Monica, and their lifesaving dog, Willow.
