Overview

'A Safe Place For My Thoughts', is a culturally competent mental health facts, affirmations, and writing journal, specifically geared towards black mental health. The journal was created by Jasmin Pierre, who is also the creator of 'The Safe Place' app, which is a free minority mental health app on android and ios, that helps to reduce the stigma of mental health issues in the black community.The Black community is 20% more likely to experience serious mental health issues than the rest of the general population, so Jasmin is working on creating more culturally competent mental health resources to help people in her community duing a mental health crisis that is indeed being ignored in every race, but even more so amongst the minority populations, who have even less access to mental health resources. This Journal has an Adult and Teen Version available.
