OverviewThis study examines the Medical Waste Management practices of Medical Institutions such as hospitals and labs in Kerala. It is based on data collected from 405 hospital staff and 295 lab staff. Friedman test is used to analyse waste profile of the different hospitals in Kerala. Most frequently produced medical waste in hospitals is sharps. The awareness of Medical Waste Management among selected staff is analysed by using MANOVA and Binomial test on NABH accreditation.
