He is the author of multiple books including Christian Resistance: Learning to Defy the World and Follow Christ and Thinking Christian: Essays on Testimony, Accountability, and the Christian Mind. He currently serves as president of D. L. Moody Center and host of Useful to God, a radio program and podcast. Varma Ashish (PhD, Wheaton College) has been a professor of theology in Chicago for ten years. His dissertation work explored theological grounding for virtue ethics.
