Overview"YouTube Presentation: https: //youtu.be/-zOxblZUcVg Despite being a New Yorker at the time, actually the year 2001 was an excellent year for me. I had the opportunity to take a grand tour to the wonderful country of Brazil which I had always dreamed about. I can say it didn't disappoint. Before computers could imitate an orchestra well, I bought in Salvador many Brazilian instruments and carted them back home. This piece for jazz orchestra was the beginning of my personal ""renaissance"" as a composer, and here it is, all shiny and new and revised. The piece begins with a fast Samba, slows to mysterious calls of the rainforest, travels through Rio's ""bossa nova"" and ends with a bang. Great, serious piece for jazz concert.Instrumentation: picc, fl, alto fl, clBb, TS, BS, Tpt 1234, trmb 123, Btrm, percussion (5) (surdo high and low, tri., vibraslap, tri., ride cym w.sft. mall. and st., rainstick, pandeiro (tam.), congas, claves, snare, w.blk) pno, full stringsComposer website: http: //lacoronadelossantos.net/jamesnathanielholland.html" Full Product DetailsAuthor: James Nathaniel HollandPublisher: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Imprint: Createspace Independent Publishing Platform Volume: 4 Dimensions: Width: 21.60cm , Height: 1.20cm , Length: 27.90cm Weight: 0.553kg ISBN: 9781727868791ISBN 10: 172786879 Pages: 234 Publication Date: 15 October 2018 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order ![]() We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
