All of this taking place while she was studying for a university course in her seventies, much of the course work for which had to be completed at the hospital. Julie has also recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, another of life’s hurdles to face. Julie’s poetry contains many different styles, including the Pantoum, Villanelle, Sestina, Sonnet, Haiku, Haibun, Shaped Poem and Free Verse.

Author Information

Julie Nancy Wiltshire graduated with a BA (Hons) Hum (Open), specialising in English Literature. Julie’s first book ‘A Carers Chaos’ was published by Matador in 2017. Her latest poetry book ‘Brocading The Verse’ was published by Crumps Barn Studio. She has recited one of her winning poems at the Cheltenham Literary Festival and in 2022 her prose was highly commended. Julie’s work has been included in anthologies, and she has recited her poetry at many venues and on radio broadcasts.
