OverviewJohn Wesley was born in 1703 in Lincolnshire, England. After being educated at Charterhouse and Oxford, he traveled to the American colonies to serve as minister in Savannah, Georgia. On his return to England he preached in churches, chapels, and in open fields, often preaching two or three times in a single day. His literary output included hundreds of sermons and tracts along with his journals. Reverend Wesley's preaching continues to be influential to this day. In A PLAIN ACCOUNT OF CHRISTIAN PERFECTION John Wesley sets out, in his own words, what he really believes about Christian Perfection or entire sanctification. The text describes the development of his thinking over the years and gives Scriptural references. This edition includes a substantial introductory biography of John Wesley by journalist Frank Banfield.
