OverviewA Pathway of Hope shows how the mercy, love and precious hand of God directed the author's life. Despite the obstacles that life presented in both Ecuador and the United States, the author continuously worked to obtain her goals and objectives, which became a blessing to her family and community. As she travelled her path, she always felt God's presence with her. She was not alone when, as an adolescent, she participated in the take over of San Jose Island in Guayaquil in 1951, in order to give her mother a home. She was not alone in the United States, when with her limited English, she managed to graduate from college with honors, while working and raising a family. She was not alone when she later obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work, additional certification and eventually her PhD in Christian Counseling. In both her personal and professional life, God has been the Rock on which she has leaned, found support, and the ability to succeed. God is the prominent figure in this book, and He has walked with the author every step of the way along her Pathway of Hope.
