Overview

Angelo Gobbato relives his operatic experiences which range from being a well-known operatic, concert, and oratorio singer, an established operatic director, a successful teacher at the UCT Opera School, an artistic director of CAPAB Opera and, finally, becoming a driving force for the creation of Cape Town opera and the discovery of many talented black South African singers. Accompanied with beautiful operatic illustrations, the book takes you on a journey of the history of opera in South Africa.
