Overview

When a seed pod protecting an ancient being crashes on the synthetic planet of Traveriss, a chain of events is set in motion that will ultimately determine the fate of the entire Florenci planetary system. Rue, a young apprentice to the Botanical Brotherhood, is tasked with escorting the Ancient, Betony, to a hidden location in an effort to regain her memories. After Betony becomes the target of an attempted abduction, which was also meant to end in Rue's demise, the unlikely pair finds themselves thrust into the tangled roots of an uprising that requires both of them to unravel the mysteries of their pasts in order to unite the planetary system and save it from Noxian enslavement. Survival depends upon forming an alliance with a group of rogue Noxian rebels, but even that won't be enough. A giant Mantid on a deep space mission and a convoy of invisible beings from a distant galaxy, among others, must band together to thwart the inevitable before the sun rises on Noxia.
