A Nation with Growing Pains

Overview

In you our fathers put their faith, they trusted you and you delivered them.' Psalm 22:4 NIV We were all babies once. So was our nation. From the dream of freedom brought over by the Pilgrims to the dream of equality that inspired the country centuries later with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., America has been a bold nation. But throughout those centuries of change, the nation has had to undergo numerous growing pains in order to reach maturity, and still dreams every day of having an incredible future. In A Nation With Growing Pains, Harvey Niceley has compiled the most significant moments and people in Americas history in order to showcase the highlights of a culture that has become synonymous with progress. Enjoy this taste of true American history, complemented by original songs and poems from the author.

Author Information

Hank Niceley, a 90-year-old who grew up and continues to live in East Tennessee, has had a variety of professional achievements. The peacefulness of rural life is very appealing, but Hank has enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife and two sons. Being a college professor for many years, he has taken his students on art study tours in Europe. He has been published almost one hundred times in national magazines. Now in retirement, he spends his time writing books, articles, poems, songs, and stories for children. The books for children all have a moral to the story, such as The Little Rooster Who Couldn't Crow, which made it to #1 on Amazon. He is the author of ten children's books. His other works include religious books-Plant Me in a Bigger Pot, Vision Beyond My Sight, and Homesick for a Country. Singing and songwriting have played a big part in his life and have led to the production of several musical albums.
