Overview

Marvyn Wilson fathered five children by four different wives. He demanded children and wives alike obey his rules. He died at ninety years of age, and the only child to attend his funeral was his daughter, Grace. For the past five years, she had stayed with him only because she had nowhere else to live. However, she didn't know him any better than she had as a child. During their adult lives, the siblings avoided contact with one another. All five struggled to escape the damage inflicted by their dysfunctional childhood. Grace located and informed the brothers of their father's death. None of them chose to attend the funeral-until she told them what they had inherited. Then they descended upon the large house, certain that it contained the real inheritance.
