S. Zreik is an author, millwright, truck driver, and dispatcher for the Carpenters' Union. She's also a single mom to three young kids ... and one mischievous elf! She was inspired to write about Joey after the elf shared his adventures with her own kids. Zreik is the oldest of six children, and helped raised her siblings with her mom. She loves to travel, read, cook, paint, and solve word problems. Zreik has lived in Canada for over 30 years and resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
