Overview

As an older human female chose to take in a child she had found in the woods, her life was turned upside-down. Villagers who had once looked upon her unkindly now welcomed her to their midst as an equal. A lost child grew up, loved by all, as a cripple whose legs weren't strong enough to carry her weight. Though the child knew nothing of her origin, she came to follow the call of the ocean to find her kin, the mer-people she was born of. As the child finds another family under the waves, she also comes to realize her magical gifts, for mermaids are born blessed with might. She grows to embrace her talent, but as a dr'chen-warrior from a strange world arrives to disrupt her safe life, she must ask herself: is might truly the most important thing in the Universe? Or could something else rise to challenge it?
