Author Information

Born and raised in New Orleans, Bernardo Wade received the Academy of American Poets Vera Meyer Strube Poetry Prize, the Puerto del Sol Poetry Prize, and the Third Coast Poetry Prize. A Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford, he has published in The Nation, Ecotone, Guernica, and The Southern Review, among other places. He is the poetry editor for Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora. A Love Tap is his debut collection. Ross Gay is the author of four books of poetry: Against Which; Bringing the Shovel Down; Be Holding, winner of the PEN American Literary Jean Stein Award; and Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. In addition to his poetry, Gay has published three collections of essays: The Book of Delights, a New York Times bestseller; Inciting Joy; and The Book of (More) Delights.
