From Thailand With Love is a hard-hitting, street-tough novel about the trafficking of adolescent Asian girls for prostitution in the U. S. The novel is serialized into two books. Book One is I am Djin Djin and Book Two is A Long Night's Journey Into Daylight. But that's certainly not the whole story. The book portrays a whole range of characters and lifestyles, from the innocent well-meaning Christian right to the urbane worldly-wise citizens of New York to the ruthless high-rollers of international organized crime, sharply contrasting these exemplars of affluent modern America with the harsh realities of life in the Third World, where children are bought and sold like cattle.The story is centered in Brooklyn and Manhattan but ranges over several locations, including Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as Chicago, San Francisco, and Duluth MN.While this book is not for the timid or prudish, it is not just a bang-bang shoot-em-up action piece or gratuitous sexual escapade.
