Overview

As I moved from country to country in my work it was obvious to me that there was a lot of unconscious humour in the world, floating around, that many people never hear of. So I decided to relate a few of my own humorous experiences in the hope that they will raise a laugh and brighten someone's day. I have included four fictional stories, any of which might provide the basis for a film. When I was at school I never achieved high marks for literature, but I always enjoyed stories and was captivated by the poetical language of poems like 'Enoch Arden' by Alfred Lord Tennyson, particularly when Enoch was describing his castaway island.
