OverviewMy Memoir profiles far ranging anecdotes and insights from the operations of contractors to interactions with staff and officials at many government levels. I was born in Massachusetts to an American mother and a Canadian father. Shortly after this our family moved to Nova Scotia Canada where I spent the early years getting educated and eventually working within a three generational private civil contracting firm. After completing all contracts and disposing of the assets I decided to make a career move to the construction industry in New England. The next twenty-five years became the most professionally stimulating and financially rewarding of my career. My motivation in writing this book was to share my vast experiences during a 25-year period starting in 1987 through a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the private and public sectors related to the multi-billion- dollar transportation and infrastructure sector. It was like the perfect storm for new construction and improvements to highways, bridges, subways, airports, as America's infrastructure was literally falling apart while the economy, housing, Wall Street and the population was growing at record levels.
