Author Information

Dr. Mary Ann Farkas has taught the course, Media and Urban Crime, at Marquette University and has incorporated media components in her Corrections, Criminal Court Process, Sex Offenses and Offenders, Women, Crime and Criminal Justice, and Victimology classes. She has written two textbooks for Corrections and Victimology classes and has also published several book chapters and numerous journal articles. For over 35 years, Frank Burke has been involved in communications and marketing. His experience has included working with major New York advertising agencies and client firms as a consultant to various companies and institutions. He has written on subjects ranging from technology to politics and frequently appears as guest lecturer on topics including the media and business communication.
