Author Information

Sue Erickson Nielsen has a love for preserving the best parts of our lives as a way to keep moving forward. She has degrees in Music Education and Organizational Behavior and has worked in classrooms, businesses, and community theatre for decades. Her love for verse comes from her grandmother, who could recite hundred of poems until the day she died at age 93. Her father wrote a rhyming poem every year as a Christmas letter to friends and family which the children would illustrate by coloring at the kitchen table before stuffing into envelopes. She and her brothers wrote songs and ditties to commemorate family events and special occasions. She and her husband have collaborated on music and poems throughout the years. Working together, they are still creating Christmas memories with their five children and growing family in Sandy, Utah.
