Reviews

The combination of Evans's action-packed drawings of a dog on a mission and short, sharp language, reflective of a curious dog's thoughts, works brilliantly to emanate humour, warmth and wonderment. A Human for Kingsley leads the reader on a playful journey of finding friendship and understanding reciprocity. --Books + Publishing Delicate earth-toned illustrations rely on fine, sketchy outlines, pale color highlights, and all-white backgrounds to humorously flesh out the spare text. . . . An endearing, visually rib-tickling ode to best friends. --Kirkus Reviews on Ollie and Augustus Sweet and spare, the illustrations convey large feelings. --Booklist on Ollie and Augustus
