Carole Boston Weatherford is the author of many children books, including Moses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom, which was a Caldecott Honor book, and Becoming Billie Holiday, a 2009 Coretta Scott King Author Honor book. Channie Waites is an actress and narrator. Her reading of Victoria Bond and T. R. Simon's book Zora and Me earned her a 2010 Best Voice Award in children and family listening from AudioFile magazine. She has received a total of four AudioFile Earphones Awards.
