Overview

Called upon to rescue a miniature mare, the United States Equine Rescue League found the mare lifeless and unresponsive. She was immediately taken to NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she began her extremely difficult road to recovery. "Barbara Stewart has been an avid reader all of her life, with writing being a hobby. When she began working with the United States Equine Resque League and learned of Sassy's story, she requested and received permission to put the story in print. Barbara has also written ""A Cat's Tale"", the humorous account of life from her cat's point of view, and is currently working to publish her first biblical fiction novel. Barbara and her husband reside in North Carolina and enjoy spending time in their gardens, hiking, biking, and entertaining, as well as spending time with their five children and six grandchildren who live close by."
