Jennifer Putzi is Associate Professor of English and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at the College of William and Mary, Virginia. She is the author of Identifying Marks: Race, Gender, and the Marked Body in Nineteenth-Century America (2006), the editor of Elizabeth Stoddard's Two Men (2008), and the coeditor of The Selected Letters of Elizabeth Stoddard (2012, with Elizabeth Stockton). Alexandra Socarides is Associate Professor of English at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She is the author of Dickinson Unbound: Paper, Process, Poetics (2012) and the coeditor of The Charles Brockden Brown Electronic Archive and Scholarly Edition, Volume 7: Poetry (forthcoming, with Michael Cohen).
