He walked across the Ford property and past the plant twice a day on his way to and from school. His father, uncles and neighbors assisted with the construction of the plant and subsequently worked in the plant as laborers for many years. Ralph was employed at General Motor's Milford, MI Proving Ground as an engineering technician for nearly 35 years and has been a resident of the community for over 70 years.
