Author Information

John L. Elias, Ed.D., is a Professor of Religion and Education in Fordham University's Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education. He is also a member of the faculty of the Graduate School of Education in the same university. Dr. Elias has been active for many years in religious education as a teacher, administrator, consultant, and author. Among his publications are Philosophy of Education: Classical and Contemporary, The Foundations and Practice of Adult Religious Education, Philosophical Foundations of Adult Education, Paulo Freire: Pedagogue of Liberation, Studies in Theology and Education, Psychology and Religious Education, and Moral Education: Secular and Religious --All with Krieger Publishing Company. Dr. Elias lives in Madison, New Jersey.
