A Histological Approach to Human Body Barriers

Overview

This book aims to investigate the histological features of barriers in the human body with the most up-to-date information. In this book, cellular diversity of barriers, cell properties, protein expression profiles of cells, cellular changes in barriers in pathological conditions, current immunohistochemical markers and imaging methods for imaging barriers will be discussed. In addition to revealing the histological characteristics of body barriers, the changes that molecular parameters in the barriers undergo in pathological conditions will be emphasized. In addition, the relationships between different barriers will be examined. Information will be given on how digital histology can be used to visualize barriers and which types of microscopes are used. Important points regarding histopathological, immunohistochemical and molecular biomarkers that can be used in the diagnosis of damaged barriers will be explained. As a result, the histological features of barrier structures seen in almost all systems are collected in a single book, presenting the most up-to-date protocols to researchers who plan to work in a relevant field.
