The statue vanishes and reappears in different places around the house, leaving Kara to question her own senses. While she assumes it's her aunt playing tricks, Adrienne, a deeply spiritual woman, insists that a powerful spirit resides within the statue-and she welcomes it. At first, Kara is skeptical. She can only watch as her quirky aunt offers small gifts to the statue and talks to it as if it's listening. But as the days pass, Adrienne's fascination turns into obsession and devotion.
