I completed my four years of enlistment as Radioman in Charge of the Coast Guard Cutter Comanche. I married my present wife, whom I had met in high school, on March 3, 1962. We were living in an apartment in Redwood City, CA, when a captain in the Sheriff's office took up residence as well. After we got to know each other, he invited me to become a Deputy Sheriff. I did as he wished and retired from that institution in 2003. During my entire period of law enforcement, I studied for scholastic degrees, finally completing the studies in 2004 with a doctor's degree in psychology.
