Overview

A Guidebook for Socially Responsible & Civically Engaged Youth is a Youth Workbook designed to lead socially responsible and civically engaged young people through the process of utilizing a variety of methods to uplift their communities. While using the Youth Workbook, they will review case studies of their peers in action, participate in interactive and engaging activities, and identify ways to elevate their voices and civic identities. The Instructor Manual assists adult allies co-working with adolescents as they complete the accompanying Youth Workbook. By utilizing this resource, instructors will gain insight on how to facilitate collaborative efforts toward youth action focused on social justice and equity, lead mindfulness practices and implement the Transformative Social-Emotional Learning (TSEL) model designed by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) to support young leaders.
