Overview

This book is based on our experience in teaching Greek as a foreign language and is addressed to everyone at the beginner level in Greek. The book is carefully designed to help any English speaker learn Greek by reading a fictional story. The story is written in such a way that every beginner can understand the general meaning of each chapter, while enriching their vocabulary. Each chapter also introduces a new grammatical term in a way that keeps the flow of the story as natural as possible. At the end of all chapters there is an English translation of the entire story, so that the reader can find all the unknown words and meanings. This fictional story is about a young Greek student, Emmanuela, who decides to participate in the Erasmus program in Sweden. When she must decide whether to continue her studies or not, she thinks that it would be a great opportunity to see another country, a different educational system, and to broaden her horizons. How will she feel when she gets there? What will her first days be like? Will she regret her choice, or will it change her life? Read this short story and maybe you will be inspired too! Enjoy!
