Author Information

Claudia Savina Bianchini is Associate Professor (MCF) of Linguistics at the University of Poitiers (Unité de Formation et de Recherche Lettres et Langues), France, where she teaches corpus linguistics and sign language linguistics, and directs the undergraduate program in Sign Language. She is a member of the FoReLLIS lab (University of Poitiers) and the GestualScript team (École Supérieure d'Art et de Design, Amiens, France), where she conducts research on the writing and transcription of sign languages, combining approaches from grapholinguistics, typography, and movement analysis. She served as scientific coordinator of the linguist teams in the French national projects Typannot and LexiKHuM. Recipient of some scientific prizes and author of many scholarly articles, she published in 2024 (D)écrire les langues des signes, of which this volume is the English translation.
