A prominent figure among the Italian workerist thinkers, he teaches at the University of Rome and is the author of When the Word Becomes Flesh, Multitude between Innovation and Negation, and A Grammar of the Multitude, all published in English by Semiotext(e). Sylv re Lotringer (1938-2021) was the founding editor of Semiotext(e). He lived in New York and Baja, California, and was Jean Baudrillard Chair at the European Graduate School, Switzerland, and Professor Emeritus of French literature and philosophy at Columbia University.
