Author Information

About the Author: Fred Brede resides with his wife Sue in Osceola, Wisconsin where in his retirement from the banking and insurance industry has written over twenty books. His first series centered on the Black Hills of South Dakota and in recent years on historical fiction novels from Northern Wisconsin. They include, Growing up on the Saint Croix , The Dam is coming and From Rivers to Rails which he had made available on Amazon and Kindle formats. Fred is a graduate of University of Wisconsin, Green Bay in 1976 and went to high school in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Since 2005 he has volunteered at the Glacial Gift Shop at Wisconsin Interstate Park who keeps his books in stock. The glaciers and the Historic Saint Croix River has been the central themes of many of his books which reflect his love for the outdoors.
