Author Information

Guo Daoyang, a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, is a highly esteemed accountant known both nationally and internationally. He currently serves as a council member of the Association of Accounting Historians (AAH). Professor Guo specializes in  financial accounting, Chinese and foreign accounting and auditing history, history of accounting and auditing thought, and modern accounting theory, etc.  With 150 academic papers and 10 published books, Professor Guo has made significant contributions to the field. His outstanding work has been recognized through various national awards, including the Special Government Subsidy of the State Council (1994), the First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences Research of the First National Higher Education Institutions (1995), the National Outstanding Educational Worker Award of the Ministry of Education (1998). Additionally, he received the Instructor of the National Award for 100 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations (2005), and was named the first ""Jingchu Social Sciences Masters"" of Hubei Province. Other honors include the National May 1st Labor Medal (2011) and National Advanced Worker (2015).
