OverviewThe third edition of Israel Regardie's A Garden of Pomegranates is now better than ever, thanks to the extensive annotations and new material by Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero. Their work has made A Garden of Pomegranates easier to understand, more complete, and up to date. It now includes never-before-published information from two Senior Adepts of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The Qabalah is the ancient system of Hebrew mysticism that is the foundation of Western magical and esoteric studies. Its primary symbol is the Tree of Life, a diagram that can aid in the study of the nature of the Universe, the essence of God, and the human mind, spirit, and soul. When Israel Regardie wrote A Garden of Pomegranates in 1932, he designed it to be a simple yet comprehensive guidebook outlining the complex system of the Qabalah and providing a key to its symbolism. Since then, it has achieved the status of a classic among texts on the Qabalah. The full annotations, critical commentary, and explanatory notes now make this book the ultimate single resource on the subject. The new material, including pathworkings, exercises, daily affirmations, rituals, meditations, and more, not only complement the original, full text included in this edition, but also make A Garden of Pomegranates indispensable for modern magicians. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationIsrael Regardie (1907-1985) was an Adept of the Golden Dawn and he was one of the greatest exponents of the Western Esoteric Tradition of the twentieth century. He was also an initiate of Aleister Crowley's Order of the A.-. A.-., and he was a IXth degree initiate of Crowley's O.T.O. It was his aim to preserve the teachings and work of the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley. His success in this task has profoundly influenced occult thought. From the age of twenty-one, Regardie worked as Crowley's personal secretary. During this period, until their bitter parting, Regardie was one of the few who knew Crowley well. He was one of the few who were qualified to provide first-hand, personal insight into the character and personality of one of the major figures in Western Magick. In addition to his extensive writings, Regardie practiced as a chiropractor and as a neo-Reichian therapist. He taught psychiatry at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and contributed articles to many psychology magazines. Barry Abrams has narrated and produced audiobooks for a variety of publishers. He has worked as a behind-the-scenes producer at ESPN since 1992. Beginning in 2012, he has also hosted and produced ESPN's In the Gate podcast. Based in Danbury, Connecticut, Barry engineers and calls live webcasts of his son's ice hockey games. Sandra ""Tabatha"" Cicero is a member of several Co-Masonic, Martinist, and Rosicrucian organizations. She met her husband and coauthor Charles ""Chic"" Cicero in the early 1980s and the Golden Dawn system of magic has been her primary spiritual focus ever since. She is Chief Adept of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Chic Cicero is a member of several Masonic, Martinist, and Rosicrucian organizations. Having established a Golden Dawn temple in 1977, Chic was one of the key people who helped Dr. Israel Regardie to resurrect a legitimate, initiatory branch of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in the United States in the early 1980s.
