Reviews

A Friendship in Twilight is an engaging plague journal with the added suspense of a looming U.S. election in which democracy itself was at stake. Miles and Taylor, each of whom has a remarkable range of knowledge and interests, offer fascinating exchanges on numerous philosophical, religious, and cultural matters, along with more personal biographical reflections. This is a genuine one-of-a-kind book. -- Peter Harrison, author of The Territories of Science and Religion
