OverviewChristmas Eve 2013 is a day Julie Metaxotos can't remember but will never forget. A normal morning became a day like no other when her car was involved in a serious collision and her life was fractured. Out of her crumpled car they pulled her broken body, unsure whether she would survive. But no one could have known, not even Julie herself, the extent of the fighting spirit and massive determination that would see her win battles, beat setbacks and overcome hurdles over the next two years on the journey back to health. Losing control of her life and limbs, she had to reset her beliefs, her expectations and her hopes to rebuild herself and her world. The challenges that burdened her time and time again hurt as much as the many broken bones, but she never let them beat her, to the continued amazement of her family, friends, doctors and rehabilitation team. She won the fight for life and for health, and along the way won the hearts of everyone she encountered. This is her story.
