Forty years to write a book. He must have learned something by now! The author was brought up In Manchester during the 1960s and 70s. His passion for football and helping people culminated in him becoming a qualified teacher of physical education and history where he spent the first ten years of his working life, before taking the opportunity to work full time in football. He spent the next ten years working within a County Football Association developing football before successfully securing a position with The Football Association working to develop the game and where he spent seventeen years. He has been involved in national and international projects within football as a development officer, coach, coach educator, mentor and manager. His passion for inclusion led to him working as a coach with the England women's senior and youth teams, the England partially sighted team and the England blind football team. He has also worked with professional club's academies and centres of excellence. The book gives readers an insight into working in football circles, but above all working with people, using personal stories and messages documenting his journey through a career as a teacher, coach, manager and mentor. This easy to follow publication informs as well as poses questions for the reader to consider.
