Carol Reardon is the George Winfree Professor of American History atPennsylvania State University. Tom Vossler (colonel, U.S. Army, retired) is former director of the United States Army Military History Institute, Carlisle Barracks. They are the authors of A Field Guide to Gettysburg: Experiencing the Battlefield through Its History, Places, and People.
