Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMichael Kerr's greatest pride was helping his daughter Cristie become a professional golfer on the Ladies Professional Golf Association. In 1965 he was drafted into the Army and deployed to Viet Nam for one year. After his honorable discharge, Michael married Linda Mare Lewis and soon Cristie was born. As an elementary teacher in the Miami-Dade Public Schools, Michael found that his schedule enabled him to devote his free time to helping Cristie learn to play golf and along with Linda Kerr's assistance; they were able to travel the long, challenging road so that Cristie could become a professional golfer. For more than twelve years, Michael kept a daily journal of Cristie's progress. This book is a father's story of making a champion. A professional educator and author, Dr. Barbara W. Moller married Michael in 2000. Having worked as an administrator and teacher for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Dr. Moller-Kerr has also been an adjunct professor for the University of Miami, Barry University and Nova Southeastern University. Fascinated with Michael's stories of how Cristie became a professional golfer, Dr. Moller-Kerr wrote with Michael to turn his journal into a story to be shared with friends, family, Cristie's fans, and parents of children, especially girls, who aspire to become professional golfers.
