Overview

Ariela Harrington knows her father Cadmion didn't commit suicide in the icy waters of Loch Ness and so, being an independent Victorian young lady of some means, she and her servant Sophy proceed to Scotland to discover the truth. There Ari meets Carlie Douglas, an old friend of her father's who has much to tell her of Cadmion's last days. She also meets Logan MacNiall, the laird who argued viciously with Cadmion, and on whose land his body was later found. Soon it becomes ever clearer to Ariela that she can trust no one save her faithful Sophy. Then the disappearances begin...and Ariela finds that everything she thought she believed is wrong--or is it?
