This series of reflections consists of thoughts, or pebbles, both polished and rough, cast into the National Reflecting Pool. Their object is to promote healing by exposing and cleansing the wounds caused by conflict, doubt, and differences. This first book in the series explores the division of the American Mind between its instinct to dominate and its love of Liberty.
