Table of ContentsReviews""As a friend who was with Melannie for much of this journey, I can attest this poetry will carry you alongside her as the waters carried her downstream, and held her under. You can feel your breath return when she resurfaces, but also feel how the author herself has changed. Filled with hard hitting lines that will put you in the shoes of someone going through this journey - or make you feel like you are not alone if you are there yourself. *sigh* Thank you, Melannie. This book is a gift, a soul journey for those willing to embark."" -Amanda McLenon, Artist ""The reader is gifted with the necessary introspection in being present for the pain, the release, and mystery; in cancer and in life/death. The resilience arising from surrender, who we are beyond body and mind, and the unconditional love that we can have for ourselves are some of the many teachings in Melannie's candid and wise words."" -Andrea Boyd, The Depth of Birth, The Beautiful Game, Latitude, Forthright ""This is so vulnerable and beautiful. Thank you for putting to words what so many I'm sure have encountered. It's not bitter or mad. Just open and engaging. This should be required reading for anyone who is planning to work with breast cancer patients, in my opinion."" -Sundi Herring, Cancer Advocate, Breast Cancer Survivor Author InformationMelannie holds experience as a dive instructor, published marine scientist, and yoga teacher.
