Dave has been blessed to have grown up in a Christian home where he was not only taught good Christian principles but was also given the opportunity and freedom to explore and grow a love for nature and science. As a born again believer from the age of eight and having a love of nature and science for as long as he can remember, Dave never felt as if the two were at odds. In fact, as a child and teenager, he never really wanted to become anything but a science teacher so I could share his love and passion for science with others. After many years in science education, his faith is as strong today as ever. During his career in science education, he has had the opportunity to teach high school students biology, be on the team who developed the science standards for his state, and train teachers as a consultant. These opportunities have given him a vast number of experiences and have provided Dave with a unique perspective on the conflict between faith and science. Dave has taken this unique perspective to write A Different View and speak to young people and their parents about science, evolution, creation and their faith.
