Most of his remaining life was spent in Cache Valley, Utah. This portion of his reminiscent autobiography relates his life and conversion in Devonport, England and his transcontinental journey to Salt Lake City. Richard Saunders is a second-great-grandson of Samuel Roskelley. He holds a PhD in history from the University of Memphis and is the author of several books of US social history.
