Laura, la hija de Charlie Harris, el bibliotecario, deja temporalmente su carrera de actriz en Hollywood y regresa a Athena para ser profesora de interpretación en la universidad. Y con Laura llega el drama. Su ex, el escritor Connor Lawton, está casi tan obsesionado con la obra que está escribiendo como con que Laura vuelva con él, cosa que la exnovia de Connor, Damitra, no está dispuesta a permitir. La trama se complica aún más cuando Laura encuentra el cuerpo sin vida de Connor. Laura, the daughter of Charlie Harris, the librarian, temporarily leaves her acting career in Hollywood and returns to Athena to be an acting professor at the university. And with Laura comes the drama. Her ex, writer Connor Lawton, is almost as obsessed with the play he's writing as he is with Laura getting back together with him, which Connor's ex-girlfriend, Damitra, isn't willing to allow. The plot becomes even more complicated when Laura finds Connor's lifeless body. Charlie's detective instinct will lead him to investigate the playwright's environment with the support, as always, of his faithful cat Diesel to discover that reality sometimes surpasses fiction.
