He has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters, focusing principally on novel pharmacological targets for the treatment of functional and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In his studies, Dr. Fichna employs in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models of gastrointestinal diseases. His numerous collaborations with university clinics and private healthcare units allow him to conduct clinical experiments and process patients’ data for his research.
