From the book reviews: This book is the result of the collaboration of academics from both countries, providing the first true attempt to gain a fuller understanding of both the US and China by consistently providing similarities and contrasts between them. ... Complementing every chapter are a number of full-colored maps, many side-by-side, showing geographic patterns for each country. ... a rich bibliography from both countries concludes each chapter, providing added in-depth readings for further research.
