Author Information

Author Gary L. Wilkinson lives in Huntington Beach, California. He was inspired to write A Comic Life by going to local comedy clubs in Orange County and Los Angeles. He started doing standup later in life, in the primordial soup of comedy known as the open mike. There he met an amazing and eclectic cast of the American experience who shared the dream of making it in comedy. The dream ranged from getting that first paid gig to an HBO special, with millions of star struck data points in between. The author himself started with the same cosmic dream. We find out how he and others fared in this heartfelt tribute to laughter.
